Bene Benedictus came in to our office because he was vomiting rocks. We took
x-rays of his stomach and throat. This is what we found:
Above are radiographs of Bene's stomach and intestinal tract. You can see a large
number of rocks in his stomach and several in his intestinal tract.
Below is a radiograph of his esophagus where we found even more rocks!
During Bene's surgery Dr. Thompson had to open his stomach in several places to
remove the rocks. He also had to use a stiff tube to push the rocks from his esophagus
into his stomach so they could be removed. Also during the surgery, Dr. Slezak had to
go from the outside to manually remove the rocks from his rectum and colon.
Here is the contents of Bene's stomach, esophagus and intestinal tract: 265 rocks.
We also found leaves, bones, small pebbles and dirt.

Here is Bene fully recovered on the day he got his stitches out.
